Boston Poem

Cracks on the sidewalk
Walk in my mind & dance on my heart.
I love these city streets
That
Double cross crosswalks.
Thee epitome of romanticized love
Ejects gasoline / in my
Womb-like dreams
And I am
Empregnated with edificios (buildings)
And this is how the story goes
Dead flow
Like traffic
Lights flashin’.
And so I sit with solidarity
On cracks that stare back at me
And this… Is when I know
I am IN love.

(Poem for my hometown city of Boston)

I wrote this poem in 2003 but was inspired to post it after the bombing attacks at the Boston Marathon in 2013. #prayforboston
